Common Questions

Is there a setup fee?

No. There is no setup fee for Starter or Professional. Create an account and your tenant subdomain is ready for configuration immediately.

When does the transaction fee get charged?

The platform fee is deducted from the payment processing payout at the time of settlement. You never pay the platform percentage out-of-pocket — TapValet's fee is automatically split from what the driver pays.

Can I switch from Starter to Professional mid-month?

Yes, you can upgrade at any point from Tenant Settings. After upgrade, your lower platform fee rate applies to transactions processed under Professional, and you unlock branding plus optional premium add-ons.

What payment methods will guests use?

Guest checkout is designed for mobile web card payments, with Apple Pay and Google Pay via Stripe when live payment processing is enabled for your venue. Until go-live payments ship, DEV uses mock checkout for training.

Is my tenant data isolated from other facilities?

Yes — completely. TapValet uses PostgreSQL Row-Level Security (RLS) enforced at the database engine level. No application-layer bug can expose your data to another tenant's context.

What optional features can Professional unlock?

Professional venues can enable per-venue add-ons: Guest Feedback Surveys, Room Number Intake, Valet Members and Key Tags, Reserved Spaces, and Extra Services. Each add-on has its own monthly price in the platform catalog.
